The Mad Mountain Challenge was attempted between Sunday 20th June and Thursday 24th June 2004 by Duncan Hassall and Andy Stinson.  The challenge was to climb 28 of the highest mountains in the United Kingdom; those over 4000ft in Scotland and those over 3000ft in England and Wales.  The challenge was attempted to raise money for Hope HIV and the MadVenture Foundation.  This web page is a record of our achievements through the week....

Overall we reached 17 of the 28 summits we aimed to climb, and we like to think if the weather in Snowdonia had been better, we could have completed the challenge.  We would like to thank all of the people who supported and encouraged us to undertake the challenge, particularly our driver, Nick.  His help was priceless, and I'd like to reward him, by publishing this very fetching picture of him on the internet.
